What It Takes to Become Part of Our Staff Team

Are you a seasoned Outdoor Professional or Program Facilitator looking for rewarding work and some very exciting assignments?  If so:  Leaders of the Day is involved with a wide spectrum of expeditions, programs and dynamic trainings that might be a perfect fit for your particular skills. Our programs range from High School Leadership Programs to powerful transition experiences for University age students; skills trainings and mentorship opportunities for Outdoor Pros and even white water canoe expeditions in the Arctic circle.

At Leaders of the Day, we hire talented Instructors with deep knowledge and experience of the outdoor world.  We look for Instructors to join our Faculty who not only hold the essential industry standard certifications for given activities but also those with deep log books who have spent time truly honing their skills as wilderness Instructors, Leaders and Educators.

As well as being practiced Outdoor Educators and Instructors, we are looking for individuals who can also be strong mentors and role-models for our students and clients; individuals who truly thrive while living, teaching and traveling in the wilderness. We choose Instructors not only for their significant technical and facilitative skills but also for their wealth of unique life experiences that make them interesting and respectful people as well as creative and engaging teachers.

Our Directors continually seek out passionate professionals  to teach what they love teaching most and then assign them to projects where their particular skills and aptitudes can best be put into action. When all these elements conspire to coincide, our Instructors are able to partner powerfully with participants and inspire them to dig deep to find their greatest gifts and strengths.  Does this sound like you?

Leaders of the Day is seeking a diverse core group of qualified, experienced, mature, outdoor and experiential educators who are certified to a minimum industry-standard in:
