Who is this program perfect for?
This program is designed for boys and girls ages 9-12 who want to participate in a fun and engaging day camp where we help kids learn about leadership and themselves through amazing games and activities. This is a Day Camp like no other!
What is the Leader to Camper ratio?
We operate with a ration of 1 Leader for every 5 participants. We have experienced male and female leadership mentors on staff to help animate the programming for the participants and to act as great role-models for your children.
When does camp begin and end each day?
We ask that parents drop campers off by 8:20 a.m. in time for an 8:30 start each morning. The day will run until 4:30 and we will be offering an “after-care” program for a small additional fee to host participants from 4:30 to 5:30. We need to be off site by 5:30 so parents involved with after care must pick their children up by this time.
Does my child need to bring their lunch?
Yes. Participants will need to bring their own lunch, drinks and snacks for 2 nutritional breaks – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Please ensure that each child has a refillable water bottle with them to stay well hydrated during our outdoor activities and challenges.
What should Campers bring with them each day?
- Lunch, 2 snacks and ample drinks for the day
- A one litre water bottle for portable hydration
- Running shoes (with socks) – no sandals or flip flops please
- Sun hat or ball cap – This is essential for our outdoor activities on hot days
- Sunscreen – 30 SPF or stronger
- A rain jacket – in case of “liquid sunshine”
- Any essential medications as outlined on your medical form
- A small back pack to carry it all around in
- A change of clothes for rainy days
When and where is your Camp Information Night for parents?
We will be hosting a Camp Information Night for parents one evening in April (dates to be confirmed shortly) in the St. Joseph Scollard Hall auditorium in North Bay. This will be a great opportunity to meet the two primary Leaders of the program, to watch a short slideshow and to answer any questions you still might have.
